Trauma Center Achievement

Enloe's Trauma Center, designated as a Level II Trauma Center in California since 1988, is also verified as a Level II Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons (ACS). This achievement recognizes our dedication to providing optimal care for injured patients. As of March 2018, Enloe was one of two ACS verified Level II Trauma Centers north of the Sacramento area. Enloe is one of America's 100 Best Hospitals for General Surgery and Gastrointestinal Care, according to a national study by Healthgrades, the leading online resource for information about physicians and hospitals. Enloe Medical Center was also recognized for the following clinical achievements:

Prompt Care Clinics

Medical injuries that don't require a visit to the hospital emergency room can be treated at two Enloe Prompt Care clinics in Chico, Calif. The Prompt Care clinics generally have shorter wait times than the emergency room. See our hours .

Care for Everyday Needs

The doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants at Prompt Care are equipped to evaluate and treat medical illnesses and injuries that need punctual attention but are not emergent or life threatening. These include:

Surgical Services

Caregivers at Enloe Medical Center put you first and offer compassionate care before and after surgery to help you on your road to recovery. Surgeons perform an array of elective and emergency procedures, including:

Comfort, Convenience & Information

Parking, Valet Service & Electric Car Charging Stations

Parking lots and street parking are available for patients and visitors. Valet service is available at Enloe Medical Center on weekdays (excluding holidays) from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. All valet service and parking at Enloe Medical Center is free. The Enloe Parking Structure is located at 130 W. Sixth Ave. In addition to standard parking, it offers electric car charging stations and bike parking.

Family Lounges

Lounge areas are available for visitors on every floor.

Allspice Cafe

The Allspice Cafe, located in the lower level, offers a diverse and tasty menu. It is open seven days a week during the following hours:

Breakfast: 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 am Monday through Friday; 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday
Lunch : 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Dinner : 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Overnight (NOC): 1 a.m. to 4 a.m.

Wi-Fi Access

Enloe Medical Center offers our patients and guests free wireless internet access at our Esplanade, Rehabilitation Center and Cancer Center campuses. Computers with internet access are also available at the Enloe Regional Cancer Center.

Meditation Room

Our Meditation Room provides a quiet place for prayer and reflection. It is located in the hallway between the main and north entrances. We hope that it will provide visitors with a sense of peace and well-being.

Enloe Gift Shop

The Gift Shop , operated by Enloe Volunteers, is located in the main lobby of Enloe Medical Center. It sells newspapers, magazines, books, snack foods, flowers and gifts. The shop accepts credit cards and phone orders, and can make deliveries to patients. Call the Gift Shop at (530) 332-7993.

Send a free email message to a patient . Volunteers deliver greetings to patients twice daily.

Patient-centered visitation

The health and well-being of our community remains the top priority at Enloe Medical Center.

With the presence of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) expanding in the state, Enloe continues to implement measures to best ensure the safety of our patients, staff and community. Effective immediately, our visitation policy has changed temporarily. These changes are grounded in our commitment to provide safe, quality care and are based on recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).

To protect the health and well-being of our community, the temporary visitation measures listed below will remain in place until further notice:

• Visitors may enter between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
• All visitors will be pre-screened for respiratory illness (cough, fever, shortness of breath). Visitors exhibiting these symptoms may not visit patients.
• Patients may receive one visitor each day.
• Patients being cared for under isolation protocols may not receive visitors.
• Patients on the Pediatric Unit or Neonatal ICU may have two parents/guardians present.
• Mother & Baby Care Center patients may have one support person present.
• Patients receiving care in the Emergency department or Prompt Care may have one visitor if required for clinical support. (Pediatric patients in these areas may have one parent/guardian present during treatment.)
• Patients receiving care in outpatient clinics may have one support person present if required for clinical support.
• Patients receiving care in the Surgery Department may not receive visitors unless required for clinical support. This includes the procedural areas before and after surgery, as well as the recovery area. Patients admitted for post-surgical care may receive visitors once they arrive in their room.

Qualifying exceptions to this policy may be considered in extreme circumstances. Please ask the attendant at the screening station.

We know the positive effect visits have on our patients, and we are happy to help you find alternative ways to communicate with your loved ones. We appreciate your understanding and compliance as we work to keep patients, caregivers and our community safe.
